Police searching for a missing man have found a body.
Martyn Cruickshank, 42, from Crieff, Perthshire, was reported missing on Monday.
He was spotted on CCTV in the town at around 8am on Tuesday.
An extensive air and land search was carried out in Crieff, Comrie, and the surrounding areas involved air support, mountain rescue, search and rescue dogs and more than a dozen police.
Officers confirmed on Saturday afternoon that those searching had found a body in the Crieff area.
Mr Cruickshank’s family has been informed and formal identification is yet to take place.
Inspector Ged Fitzpatrick said: “Our thoughts are with Martyn’s family at what will be an extremely sad and difficult time.
“At this point I would like to thank the members of the public who have assisted with our searches and to all those who have shared our appeals for information.”
