PREPARATIONS are under way for Glasgow's Christmas celebrations with council staff installing the lights.
Shoppers and commuters were given a sneak peak of the famous spectacular at George Square.
Already the lights were being put in place ahead of the build to the switch on on Sunday November 19.
Tickets for this much-loved event are always in high demand and are distributed by public ballot.
The ballot is now closed, successful applicants will be notified in the next few days if they have struck it lucky.
