COPS have sealed off a city centre street after two separate assaults days apart.
The force placed Hill Street in Garnethill on lockdown as they began their investigation into the serious assault of a 37-year-old man on Monday afternoon.
He was attacked after 2pm and taken to Glasgow’s Royal Infirmary.
The force said that he had facial injuries and they were still trying to establish what happened to him.
Two days prior, a 20-year-old woman was punched on the same street by a man.
The Evening Times understands the man walked past the woman, turned back to shout at her before he punched her and made off.
This happened at 3.30pm on Saturday and the woman did not go to hospital.
Police Scotland said they were investigating both incidents.
The force added that there was nothing to suggest that the attacks were connected.
