A MAN has been arrested for allegedly throwing a bottle at marchers, who claim their safety was compromised after officers failed to turn up to police the parade.
The Apprentice Boys of Derry march was due to take place on June 2, going from Maryhill to Possil, but apparently had to be abandoned after trouble flared.
A bottle is said to have been thrown, narrowly missing a child, according to those taking part, who claim police later apologised for failing to monitor the event.

A 28-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and is due to appear in court on Friday.
A spokeswoman for Police Scotland claimed the force did not receive notification about the march but added that the incident would be discussed today with Glasgow City Council.
Anyone planning to organise a public procession is required to notify the council at least 28 days prior to the event.
A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: “A 28 year old man was arrested and subject of a report to the Procurator Fiscal following an incident on Saturday 2nd June 2018.”
