COMEDIAN Kevin Bridges has received the SSE Hydro’s first-ever award for record-breaking performances.
Following a successful run of 19 sell-out shows at the hugely-popular Glasgow venue, the Clydebank funnyman was presented with the ‘GIE IT LALDY’ award.
The presentation by Peter Duthie, CEO of the Scottish Event Campus, marked the first official accolade from the Hydro.
It recognised an exceptional contribution to the live event industry.
Receiving the accolade, 31-year-old Kevin said: “Thanks to the Hydro for the award.
“It’s an honour to play so many shows at such a brilliant arena and, most importantly, thanks to the people of Glasgow and those who travelled from all over to see the show.
“Amazing audiences and here’s to many more nights over the years.”
Peter added: “We are delighted to recognise Kevin’s achievement at the SSE Hydro with this award.
“To date, and across the wider SEC campus, he has played an incredible 46 performances and sold more tickets than any other solo artist.”
