GLASGOW'S Lord Provost got crafty for a good cause.
She joined Avril Collier, from Grans on the Make, at The Creative Craft Show at the SEC to take part in a 10-month challenge to create a 13ft commemorative poppy.
When complete the poppy will be made up of 1,568 sections, representing the number of days of WW1. Participants can also provide a short story, memory or name to be displayed on the stand and dedicated to those lost in the First World War. The Glasgow show is one of nine UK Creative Crafts Shows which have contributed to the final poppy.
During her visit the Lord Provost joined Erskine Veterans at an afternoon tea.
