THE M8 has reopened in both directions after it was closed earlier this morning due to a police incident.
Officers swooped on the scene in West Lothian, between J4 and J5, after the alarm was raised around 6.45am this morning.
And the busy motorway was closed while officers attended the scene for several hours this morning.
It’s not known what the nature of the incident is and police told The Evening Times that they couldn't provide any more detail on the incident at this time.
We'll have more on this as we get it.
