A YOUNG man has died at a home in Pollok.

Emergency services rushed to the scene in Peat Road at around 8.55am on Thursday after the alarm was raised.

The 31-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.

A post mortem examination is to take place to establish how he died but his death is not being treated as suspicious.

Residents told the Evening Times there was a large police presence in the area.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "Police were called around 8.55am on Thursday, November 8 to an address in Peat Road, Glasgow.

A 31-year-old man within the house was pronounced dead at the scene.

A post mortem examination will take place in due course to establish the exact cause of death however there would not appear to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.

Enquiries are continuing at this time and a full report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal."
