A TRAGIC murder victim’s final moments may have been caught on video, it has emerged.

Darren ‘Sinky’ Sinclair was discovered on Tuesday at around 7.45am in a footpath at Kinfauns Drive, Drumchapel.

The 27-year-old was last seen at around 11.30pm near to Drumchapel Shopping Centre.

There was speculation that a clip was shared on social media. Darren was found in waste land and was heard screaming for help through the night.

But Police Scotland focused on gaining information about Darren’s whereabouts from when he was last seen to when he was found during a media appeal yesterday.

Detective Chief Inspector Mark Bell, of the Major Investigation Teams, said: “This is a brutal murder and it has happened in an area of waste land within the local community.

“That is really quite tragic, it is something that the community needs to stand up and count for, and come forward.”

The Evening Times has also learned that Darren was the victim of another alleged attempt on his life.

Two men allegedly carried out the murder bid on Darren earlier this year. The pair appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court last month.

It’s claimed they drove a car at him and attacked him with a machete. Both men deny the charges against them.

DCI Bell said: “We are looking at all links in relation to Mr Sinclair’s background as you would expect us to and as his family would expect us to. Is one thing linked to another?

“At this point in time it is too early to comment on that.”

Yesterday, cops were carrying out several enquiries across the Drumchapel area on the targeted attack on Darren.

“An address in Katewell Avenue was cordoned off.

DCI Bell added: “We are making assessments at a number of locations in the Drumchapel area.”
