A MAN was attacked with a bladed weapon in a flat in Castlemilk.
The Evening Times understands the 44-year-old may have been slashed or stabbed during the brutal assault which happened at around 4pm on Saturday.
He was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital by emergency services. He, however, was later released after treatment.
At least four uniformed officers, two detectives and one forensic officer were spotted at the scene in the aftermath of the assault.
The forensic officer took several photos inside the property before leaving with a number of evidence bags.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “It was around 4pm on Saturday, November 10, police were called to a report of a 44-year-old man being seriously assaulted within a flat in Ardencraig Road, Castlemilk.
“Emergency services attended and the victim was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.
“He was released after treatment. Enquiries are continuing.
