Two golf clubs in East Dunbartonshire have successfully applied for alterations to their alcohol licenses.
Both golf clubs had their applications considered at a licensing board meeting held last week at East Dunbartonshire Council headquarters in Kirkintilloch on Thursday, November 1.
Douglas Park Golf Club in Hillfoot asked for the “on sales” area around the clubhouse to be extended and for it to include the newly constructed teaching studio next to the pro shop.
Clober Golf Club in Milngavie requested an alteration to its sales hours and also for permission to provide an off sales service for customers.
The revised hours will allow certain activities to take place outside normal trading hours, and the off sales is mainly attended for the convenience of those attending social functions which involve meals. The club will not be providing off sales to the general public.
