HUNDREDS of runners turned up on Glasgow Green yesterday morning to take on the 1.5k, 5k and 10k MoRuns, in a bid to raise awareness and funds for men’s health.

Despite bucketing rain, spirits were high with costumes and comedy moustaches as far as the eye could see.

Many runners took part wearing fancy dress and donning moustaches to show their support for the Movember Foundation, the only charity tackling men’s health on a global scale.

Since its inception in 2010, MoRunning events have raised just shy of £1 million for The Movember Foundation.

The cash is used to address some of the biggest health issues faced by men including prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention.

Dave Krangel, Founder of MoRunning, said: “The 2018 MoRuns are well and truly underway.

"Four events last weekend and a further six MoRuns across six regions this weekend.

"The turnout from both runners and supporters has been amazing to see.

"Everyone here is raising awareness and funds for men’s health, which is at the heart of MoRunning."
