A COMMUNITY in mourning gathered at a Drumchapel park to pay tribute to tragic Darren 'Sinky' Sinclair.
Balloons and lanterns were released as fireworks were set off in honour of the 27-year-old who was found dead in waste land on a footpath Kilfauns Drive last Tuesday morning.
His friends and family gathered at Peel Glen Park in the area on Sunday evening.
One mourner said: "What a turn out you got Darren, only what you deserve. I am sure somewhere out there you were looking down on us all and always will be.
"I would do anything to have you by my side right now. You'll be sadly missed by so many."
The mourner added: "I would would like to say thanks to everyone who came along to Peel Glen Park for Darren and his family.
"You done Darren proud with the balloons, fireworks and support for each other. Love you Darren. In absolute bits, fly high."
The tribute comes as a man is due in court today in connection with the death.
Police Scotland confirmed that they arrested and charged a 20-year-old yesterday.
He will appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court.
