STRICTLY star Joe McFadden is joining a slew of celebrities on a treasure trail around the UK.

Joe has signed up for Celebrity Antiques Road Trip alongside fellow Scot, radio presenter Kaye Adams.

On Tuesday, November 27 at 7pm, The Communards’ Reverend Richard Coles joins up with last year’s Strictly Come Dancing winner Joe to visit Edinburgh, West Linton, Motherwell and Glasgow, finishing with an auction in Newcastle.

Kelly Brook, Denise Van Outen, Peter Andre, Diversity’s Jordan Banjo and Perri Kiely, Al Murray, Rebecca Adlington, Sue Johnston and Bananarama’s Sara Dallin and Keren Woodward are among the much-loved celebrities taking part.

The eighth series of Celebrity Antiques Road Trip follows a line-up of famous faces from stage, screen, comedy, sport and the media as they hunt for hidden gems in a bid to make the biggest profit buying and selling antiques.

John Redshaw, series producer at STV Productions, said: “It’s always exciting to hit the road with a new set of celebrities, and this series is no exception.

"We have a brilliant line-up of competing stars going head-to-head on the antiques trail and I think viewers will love following their road trips as they track down weird and wonderful bargains in antique shops around the country.

"Some of the more interesting items found during the series include a vintage vaulting horse uncovered by Joe Pasquale, emblazoned with the name of its former owner - HMP Broadmoor.

"Denise van Outen made an unlikely purchase of a plough, whereas Claire Sweeney pinned her hopes on a toy tank.

"And Jordan Banjo definitely wins the prize for the most unusual buy - a pair of mismatched Edwardian glass eyes.

"There is even a bit of scandal in this series with an accusation of foul play when an antique is damaged at auction by the opposing team.”

In each episode, the two competing celebrities put their knowledge and bartering skills to the test as they set out in classic vintage cars to find antique bargains, before selling them at auction.

On hand to help are the show’s regular antiques experts, each paired with a celebrity, to provide guidance on the world of antiques.

Celebrity Antiques Road Trip's last series reached 15.6 million people across the UK. The series is produced by STV Productions.
