More than 200 people packed out HMV in Argyle Street last night to meet Mumford & Sons before the band played The Hydro.
Winston Marshall, the band’s guitarist, told The Evening Times: “We love being here. We’ve done a lot of shows in the Hebrides and the Highlands, and so it’s like seeing old friends.
“Ever since the beginning of the band, ten years, we’ve been coming up here.”
Natalie Ladevez, 42, queued for three hours with her husband Laurent to see her favourite band, and had brought lead singer Marcus Mumford a present.
“I’ve been a fan for nine years and that’s the first time I’ve seen them. I’m actually really emotional,” she said.
“I have my own business, I make candles, and I made them a wee personalised candle as a gift."

The band was promoting its new album, 'Delta'.
Nisa Gillies has seen Mumford & Sons play nine times, and brought her son Norrie, 2, down from Inverness to see them.
He was too young to go the concert afterwards.
“I think he is the youngest here,” she said.
“We’re heading back after this, I just wish we could go to the gig.”
“I love them, from beginning to end.”
