A GLASGOW school has been named the best in the country as it topped The Sunday Times Schools Guide 2019.
Jordanhill School retained its place as the top state institution in Scotland with 81% of pupils gaining five or more highers.
It’s good news all round for the city in this year’s list; seven out of the top 10 state schools are in the greater Glasgow area.

St Ninian’s in Giffnock took the number two spot, followed by Williamwood and Mearns Castle (both East Ren) in at numbers four and five.

Bearsden Academy came sixth, Bishopbriggs Academy eights and Douglas Academy in Milngavie at 10th place.
