THE Prime Minister is in Glasgow today in her bid to sell the Brexit deal to the public.
Theresa May is speaking to factory workers pitching her belief that the deal the UK Government agreed with the EU negotiators is best for business and jobs.
Mrs May will argue that the deal offers opportunities for Scottish exporters.
She is expected to say: “It is a deal that is good for Scottish employers and which will protect jobs.
“It includes a new free trade area with no tariffs, fees, quantitative restrictions or rules of origin checks—an unprecedented economic relationship that no other major economy has.”
Meanwhile, First Minister, Nicola Sturgeon, has reacted to the likelihood the SNP will be excluded from any televised debates on the deal that will feature only the Prime Minister and Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn.
Ms Sturgeon said: “A debate that just focuses on two marginally different versions of Brexit is not worth having.
“The voice for remaining in the EU must be heard - I’m willing to be that voice. What is the PM so scared of?”
