A MAN is to stand trial charged with the murder of a woman more than 20 years ago.
Zhi Min Chen is accused of killing prostitute Tracey Wylde at her flat in Barmulloch, Glasgow, in November 1997.
Prosecutors claim the 43-year-old bit Miss Wylde on the chest and struggled with her.
The murder charge then alleges Chen compressed the 21-year-old's throat with his hand and strangled her.
Chen today appeared for a short hearing at the High Court in Glasgow.
His QC Donald Findlay pled not guilty on his behalf.
Mr Findlay added: “I am content that a trial be fixed.”
Lord Mulholland set a trial due to begin next April. The case could last around 15 days.
