ICONIC Disney classic The Nightmare Before Christmas is coming to Glasgow live in concert in time for the next festive season.

The spectacular show is set to make its debut in the UK at the SSE Hydro on December 2, 2019.

The reigning Pumpkin King and award-winning composer and songwriter Danny Elfman will be returning as the original Jack Skellington alongside various other original cast members including Catherine O'Hara as Sally, and Ken Page as the voice of Oogie Boogie.

The award -winning score will be performed by The Royal Scottish National Orchestra in Glasgow and London Philharmonic Orchestra at the SSE Arena, Wembley.

Founding director of the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra and conductor John Mauceri, will be leading the full orchestra and choir at both performances.

The concert will also include featured violin soloist, Sandy Cameron.

Danny Elfman, who wrote and composed the original score spoke of his excitement about hearing his songs live and sharing the stage with his friends and former cast members.

He said: “Being able to perform ‘Nightmare’ live in synch to the movie with a full orchestra was such a thrill at the sold-out Hollywood Bowl shows.

“Having Catherine O’Hara and Ken Page to perform with me really made it a unique and magical experience.

“I’m happy to bring this special night to the UK for the first time in December.”

Tickets are on sale from 10am onwards on Friday, December 7, 2018 and will likely sell fast.
