A WOMAN driver has been rushed to hospital after falling ill inside the Clyde Tunnel.
The Evening Times reported how there were massive delays near the area during this morning’s rush hour.
Traffic Scotland said vehicles were being held up northbound at the tunnel because of an emergency incident.

Traffic was queuing all the way back onto the M8 at junction 25 Cardonald.
The Scottish Ambulance Service has now confirmed that a woman took ill behind the wheel and was “unable to carry on driving.”
A spokeswoman told the Evening Times: “We received a call at 8:31am to attend an incident at the Clyde Tunnel in Glasgow.

“One ambulance was dispatched to the scene and one female patient was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital.”
Police Scotland said its officers were also in attendance.
The condition of the woman is currently not known.
The incident had been cleared by around 9.15am.
