GORDON: Had to beat away an effort from Jordan Jones midway through the opening period and was unlucky with Eamonn Brophy’s penalty. Seemed to get a hand to the effort but couldn’t keep it out. (6)

LUSTIG: The Swede flicked in Celtic’s third goal of the day after Callum McGregor had steered a free-kick into the box for his first goal of the season for the Parkhead side. (7)

SIMUNOVIC: Early booking for a foul on Jordan Jones but other than that was composed throughout with very little to do. (7)

BENKOVIC: Tripped Rory McKenzie at the start of the second period. Foul looked to be just outside the box but referee Nick Walsh gave the penalty from which Kilmarnock nabbed a consolation. (7)

IZAGUIRRE: Deputised for Kieran Tierney who sat out but no ill effects of not having played for so long. Fabulous ball in to James Forrest for the opening goal of the afternoon. Excellent for much of the game and fitness levels impressive given his lack of game time. Booked in the latter stages. (8)

FORREST: Looks to have felt the benefit of a recent rest. Fabulous left-foot volley after just five minutes which set the tone for Celtic’s afternoon. Clipped the post in the second period before adding the fifth goal when a lashed home from a tight angle. (9)

ROGIC: Twice denied by decent stops from Kilmarnock goalkeeper Daniel Bachmann. Played in the final ball for Edouard to net Celtic’s second of the day. Replaced on the hour mark as Celtic turned their attention to Thursday night’s Europa League game against Salzburg. (8)

MCGREGOR: Whipped in the free-kick for Mikael Lustig to net from and so comfortable in that deep lying midfield position. Dictated play for Celtic for the entirety of the afternoon. (9)

CHRISTIE: Added another trick to his recent repertoire with a fabulous free-kick shortly before the interval. Wiped out by Bachmann in the build-up to Celtic’s fifth and would have won a penalty had Forrest not converted. Subbed to a standing ovation. (8)

SINCLAIR: Put in a couple of dangerous balls, particularly just after Celtic had opened up a 2-0 advantage. Without being the star of the show he played well, was industrious and looks more assured than he has at times this season. Denied a clever goal when his arching effort came back off the crossbar in the second period. (8)

EDOUARD: Should have done better when he latched onto a stray Killie pass and burst through but atoned for that shortly after when he added Celtic’s second of the afternoon. Edouard took a touch before blasting his effort into the top corner. (8)

NTCHAM: On for the final half hour of the game and looked lively. (5)

GRIFFITHS: Missed training on Friday with “an issue” and had to settle for a place on the bench. Took over from Edouard as Celtic saw out the final stages of the game. (4)

BROWN: Took over from Christie for the last 13 minutes of regulation time. Involved with Jones after the Kilmarnock player was late with a foul on Izaguirre. (4)
