EMERGENCY services have scrambled onto the M8 after a multi-car crash.
The incident on the M8 westbound has seen two lanes shut off as traffic starts to build on the route.
Traffic Scotland raised the alarm on Twitter just after 9am.

The team said: “#M8 W/B J6 Newhouse - lanes 1 & 2 are CLOSED due to a multi-vehicle RTC. Emergency services are on scene, traffic is queuing on approach.
“#BeAware.”
In an update shortly after, Traffic Scotland advised: #M8 W/B J6 Newhouse - dedicated slip and lane 1 (Of 3) are now CLOSED ⛔.”

The incident was cleared shortly after 10am and delays were expected to ease off in the area.
