Officers in Maryhill are trying to trace a woman who was heard shouting for help but never found.
Police were called after the female was heard in distress in Grovepark Street near to Hopehill Road around 11.15pm on Sunday.
A full search was of the area was carried out around Grovepark Street but there was no trace of anyone requiring police assistance.
Police have now appealed for the woman to get in touch and the public to come forward with any information.
Detective Sergeant Nita Bhatt of Drumchapel Police Office said: “Officers have been carrying out enquiries in the area and checking CCTV footage from the local area, however at this time, no crime has been established.
"We would still like to trace the woman who was shouting for assistance to make sure she is safe and well.
“I would ask anyone who has any information that may assist our enquiries to contact Drumchapel Police Office through 101 quoting reference number 4330 of 9th December.”
