RANGERS fans have been booted off a flight to Munich ahead of the team's clash with Rapid Vienna for alleged rowdy behaviour.

It's understood a group of supporters were removed from the flight at Glasgow Airport due to an incident on-board the aircraft, which was due to take off at 3.20pm.

Taking to Twitter, a number of passengers said they had been delayed due to the issue.

One wrote: "Congratulations to the flight crew on #Lufthansa 2521 for expelling drunk #RangersFC fans on way to #Munich.

"Flight is over 2 hours late thanks to the drunken a******* and their fellow supporters will miss their connection to #Vienna because of them."

While another said: "We are still in Glasgow, have all been kicked off our flight and have now missed our connection flight in Munich."

Police were reported to have attended the aircraft while cabin crews removed passengers to deal with the group.

The Lufthansa flight LH2521 to Munich was delayed for more than three hours.

The Ibrox team will face the German side tomorrow evening.

An airport spokesman confirmed a "small number of individuals" were removed from the flight.

Luthansa and Police Scotland have been contacted for comment.
