GLASWEGIANS have gone festive mad with more people getting Christmas Eve boxes and taking part in Elf on the Shelf shenanigans than anywhere else in the UK.
The city came second in the UK for being crazy about Christmas Eve boxes with Liverpool taking the top spot.
Christmas Eve boxes are a recent tradition where parents present their kids with a gift before Santa arrives. The boxes often contain new pyjamas as well as sweets and other gifts.
The finding came from research from Motif, the app that creates photo books.
More than one in five of us are also introducing Christmas jumpers and just over one in four of us introducing Elf on the Shelf to our British Christmas rituals, overtaking old traditions of watching the Queen’s Speech and playing family board games.
