LILY Allen has admitted she was less than impressed by the late night Caledonian sleeper train she took from London to Glasgow Central.

The outspoken singer who played Glasgow’s 02 Academy last night recorded herself on the train as she told her Instagram followers: “First impressions - not the Orient express.”

Eyeing up the narrow corridors of the train, she said: “This is a bit grim. You know some people they like to hop around Europe on private jets in between their shows but not me. I just like to keep it real. You know, if anyone knows me they know that I’m very committed to reducing my carbon footprint at the moment which is why I am vegetarian and on this train.”

I’m sure Lily managed to catch up on get sleep by staying at the plush Dakota hotel.

THE legend that is Sydney Devine revealed he’s making another album as he guested at the SEC for Cinderella.

Sydney and his wife of 57 years, Shirley, were VIP guests at the SEC for Cinderella.

They joined a posse of guests including Radio’s George Bowie, and Des Clarke, entertainers Dean Park and Tony Roper and Instagrammer Emily Shak.

As I tucked into a mince pie, Steak and Kidney told me: “I’ve got a busy day tomorrow: I’m in the middle of making another album - the 26 or 27th. I don’t have a favourite song - they are all my favourites, like wee babies.”

I joined him in crying tears of laughter at The Krankies as they proved they were the real stars of the show at the Armadillo.

Wee Jimmy got swung about the stage like a ventriloquists dummy and his banter was fresh as ever. Still Game’s Gavin Mitchell and Two Doors Down’s Jonathan Watson also got me grinning at their all too accurate portrayal of the ugly sisters, and it was great to see Keith Jack as the handsome prince. It’s a belter of a show.

THE Glasgow Warriors managed to show off a mean bum shuffle as they popped into Glasgow’s Children’s Hospital for Christmas fun.

Rugby players D’arcy Rae and Johhny Gray were put through their paces by a wee baby called Hamish as they raced him in the floor in a now viral video while Zack Fitzgerald delivered teddies to the kids.

Zack said: “I just wanted to thank all the fans,we wouldn't have been able to spread the cheer, without your generosity!Great work by you all,you should be proud. The fellas really enjoyed seeing the kids smiles today.”
