Posting on social media following the 2-1 victory, assistant coach Rene Maric tweeted a video of fans before the game writing: “Thank you, @CelticFC, for hosting this game tonight. What an amazing atmosphere, historical stadium & great club. Bowing to the fans, priviliged for the experience.”

Celtic went through second in the group that was topped by Salzburg who won all six games. Brendan Rodger's men had been heading out of the Europa League until a late Rosenborg equaliser in Germany against RB Leipzig.
The draw for the last 32 of the Europa League takes place on Monday.
