THE funeral of a father who was gunned down outside his own home in a drive-by shooting will take place tomorrow as murder cops continue their hunt for his killer.

Gary More died in the arms of his sister Lynsey after he was shot multiple times outside his home in Airdrie three months ago.

His sister revealed on the social media website Facebook that the 32-year-old's funeral will take place tomorrow.

A service will be held at Holytown Church before his family and friends say their final goodbye at Barons Haugh Cemetery.

One friend said: "You and your family are in my thoughts, stay strong."

Another added: "Can't begin to imagine what your family are going through. Thoughts and prayers are with you all."

The fitness instructor's death is still being investigated by Police Scotland's elite Major Investigation Team.

Last week, they appealed for anyone with information about the death to come forward.

Gary was shot in Gartness Drive in Airdrie's Chapelhall at around 8.10pm on Thursday, September 6.

The gunman fled in a white Skoda Fabia. The same model and colour of car was later found burnt out near Craigmaddie Road in North Glasgow.

Detectives previously revealed they believed the car, which was stolen from the Pollokshields area of Glasgow in August, had a number of occupants.

The force also said they wanted to take the gun used in the shooting off the streets.

The charity Crimestoppers previously offered a reward of up to £10,000 for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for the shooting.

Detective Superintendent Allan Burton of the Major Investigation Team, the officer in charge of the inquiry, said last week: "As you would imagine, Gary's family are distraught and struggling to come to terms with his tragic death. There is a significant number of officers working to identify the people involved in the incident but there are still gaps we need to fill. The team is reviewing hours of CCTV footage to trace the movements of the Skoda Fabia.

"We also need to take the gun used in the attack off the streets. I know there are people who have the answers we are looking for. If you know anything that can assist the enquiry then I implore you to come forward."
