DETECTIVES are continuing their investigations after a man’s body was discovered on Christmas Eve in Glasgow’s East End.

The force said today that they were still treating the death as unexplained as they continued their probe.

It comes after officers were called to the grim discovery at around 2.15pm on Monday afternoon.

The man’s body was found on Sword Street, just of Duke Street, in Dennistoun.

The force did not provide any further details surrounding the death and the man’s age is unknown.

Officers, however, sealed off a grassy area close to busy Bellgrove train station and set up a cordon following the discovery.

The Evening Times understands that a Post Mortem will take place in due course to establish how the man died.
