HEARTBROKEN family and friends have paid tribute to Owen Hassan on what would have been his 31st birthday.

The dad-of-three was allegedly murdered outside his mum's pub on Greenview Street in Shawlands on November 7.

The mother his youngest child, Samantha Callaghan, wrote: "Happy birthday Owenzy."

While another pal wrote: "Happy heavenly birthday Owen."

Courtney Thomson, who shares a son with Owen, said: "Happy birthday In heaven Owen, hurts even writing this.

"There’s no words for how hard this has been trying to hold it together while playing both mum and dad 24/7, never imagined doing this myself.

"We've lost the only person who was there all the time even when I was being a headcase.

"We miss you so, so much. We can’t give you a card or a gift this year but can give you a promise that no matter what I’ll make sure your boy has a happy life and he'll know all about his daddy, his hero.

Another friend added: "This time last year I was enjoying being at your 30th, this year I am missing you and wishing you could just be here for one more night.

"You don’t realise how much your life can change in a day, never mind a year.

"Until we meet again Owen, Happy Birthday mate, love you."

While another helped decorate a tree to mark the event, she wrote: "Happy 31st Birthday to the best friend a girl could ever ask for.

"I will always love you Owenzy and always will.

"Til we meet again chunk."

Earlier this month, murder cops charged a 29-year-old man in connection with Owen's death following a heartbreaking appeal from his parents.

Police are still seeking a second person they believe may have been involved in the incident.
