THE heartbroken sister of missing Lisa Brown has spoken of the impact of the disappearance on the expat's son as he spends his fourth Christmas without his mum.
Lisa Brown, who is originally from Alexandria, Dunbartonshire, vanished from her Spanish home in Guadiaro near Gibraltar in November, 2015.
The 32-year-old was meant to collect her son Marco from school, but failed to turn up.
Here sister Helen Jordan took to social media to talk about how much her 11-year-old nephew had gone through since the disappearance.
Posting on Facebook on Christmas Day, she said: "Another Christmas without Lisa and it gets harder.
"Marco has missed out on so much and although he has us all, it will never make up for what he's lost.
"His whole world was turned upside down and his life changed forever.
"He has went through more pain than some adults do in a lifetime and he's only 11."
She added: "We will try and make this a happy day for him and our mum because if anyone deserves it, they do.
"We miss you everyday Lisa not just today, all our love princess."
A Spanish judge was ordered to reopen a homicide investigation in October against Lisa's ex-boyfriend Simon Corner.
A judge is also due to rule on whether to charge six Brits early next year.
