THREE people have been arrested and charged with attempted murder and robbery after a Christmas Eve stabbing in Cumbernauld.
Two boys, aged 14 and 15, and a 20-year-old man have been charged, said Police Scotland.
The Evening Times reported on Boxing Day how the force had been hunting for a gang of thugs who stabbed in a shopkeeper on Glenhove Road, Carbrain.
The 40-year-old shopkeeper was stabbed after six youths attacked him and stole alcohol from his store at around 8.05pm.
He was taken by ambulance to Monklands District General Hospital where medical staff described his condition as serious but stable.
A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal and the trio is expected to appear at Airdrie Sheriff Court on Friday (today).
