A LEADING hotel chain has revealed a list of bizarre items left in their premises across Glasgow.

Travelodge said a suitcase full of Scots porridge oats is just one of the items found in their lost and found office after it was left at their hotel in Glasgow Airport.

It is just one of the many interesting items that have been left behind in the budget chain’s 44 Scottish hotels in the last 12 months.

A set of artificial legs with designer shoes was left in Glasgow Queen Street while a family of Burberry teddy bears were discovered in the Paisley Road hotel. A Louis Vuitton man bag containing designs for a new product launch was left behind in Glasgow Central Travelodge while deeds to a new office building was handed in after they were found in the Braehead hotel.

Interestingly, the hotel chain has seen a growing trend in forgetful pet owners during the last 12 months. Elsewhere in Scotland, the housekeeping team at Falkirk Travelodge got a lovely surprise when they were greeted by two adorable black and white Scottie dogs called Hamish and Ramsey. Their owner had rushed off to meet a relative and completely forgot to pack her pets until she was half way down the motorway and then had to make a speedy return journey to pick up them up.

An exotic bird enthusiast also in a hurry to hit the road and avoid the traffic forgot to pack his African Grey pet Parrot called Braveheart at Edinburgh Haymarket Travelodge.

Shakila Ahmed, Travelodge spokeswoman said: “When it comes to why so many customers forget their treasured items, there is one common theme, and that’s living in a fast and furious world.

“Where time is off the essence especially when getting from A to B and therefore valuable possessions are easily being forgotten.”
