A MYSTERY donor has showed their appreciation for a south side library with a special gift.

Staff at Langside Library discovered a bouquet of flowers attached to the gates with a note which read: "Back to the grindstone, happy new year."

It's not known who sent the flowers, however, it's believed to be the same anonymous benefactor who has dropped off a similar gift at the library before.

Staff took to social media to share their thanks for the present.
