POLICE have urged witnesses to come forward after a woman was critically injured in a three-car smash.
The accident happened on the A73 near Thankerton on Wednesday at around 4.50pm.
A 62 year-old woman was driving a Peugeot Blipper van, near to the entrance to Thankerton Camp Farm when it was in collision with a Ford Focus being driven by a 23 year-old man and a Jeep driven by a 70 year-old man.
The 62 year-old remains critically ill in hospital in Glasgow, while the 21-year-old is seriously ill at Wishaw General. The 70-year-old driver was not injured.
Witnesses including those with dash-cam footage are asked to contact101 quoting reference number 2545 of 9th January 2019.
