POLICE have rushed to an ongoing incident in Hope Street.
Officers swarmed the area outside the Citizen M hotel.
Initial reports claimed a person had been knocked down in the street.
However, Police Scotland confirmed officers attended after concern was raised for a man in the street.
The Scottish Ambulance service was also in attendance.
An eye-witness said up to five police cars were seen on the street shortly after 1pm today.
A spokeswoman for the force confirmed officers spoke with the individual and determined he was in a safe condition.
The Scottish Ambulance have been contacted for comment.
