POLICE have discovered two bodies in Eastwood.

Officers, paramedics and fire crews raced to Stoneside Square, near Thornliebank, just after 10am after receiving a report of a concern for a person.

Emergency services remain at the scene as officers treat the deaths as “unexplained.”

A Police Scotland spokeswoman told the Evening Times: “Officers were alerted to a report of a concern for a person at around 10.10am.

“Emergency services attended and two bodies were found within a property in Stoneside Square, Eastwood, near Thornliebank.

“Emergency services remain at the scene to establish the circumstances. However, the deaths are currently being treated as unexplained.

“Police are working with partner agencies to take precautionary measures as appropriate.”

The Evening Times has contacted the Scottish Ambulance Service for more information.

A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “We were requested at 11.27am to assist emergency service partners in Eastwood.

“Operations Control mobilised a number of resources to Stoneside Square, where crews currently remain in attendance.”
