IT is safe to say Rangers fans have seen the last of Eduardo Herrera and Carlos Pena but the club are still counting the cost of the deals Pedro Caixinha struck to bring them to Glasgow.

Herrera has moved on once again and is now on loan at Mexican side Necaxa but the situation regarding Pena still looks to be up in the air right now.

Steven Gerrard would love to get them both permanently off the wage bill to free up money that could allow him to get a loan signing in or do a deal for Jordan Jones or Glen Kamara.

It is hard enough to get people in the door sometimes. But it is twice as hard to get them out again.

There are a number of players at Rangers that clearly aren’t going to feature under Steven Gerrard this season or going forward and the manager will be frustrated at the money that is going out the door that is basically going to waste.
