LLANDUDNO’s St David’s Hospice is making an appeal for volunteers for its re-use shop at Mochdre recycling centre.

The store, which was opened in May last year, is packed with pre-loved items awaiting a new home.

Hospice Administrator, Janet Magill said: “The staff on site spot and rescue saleable goods before they are placed into the recycling skips. They are then displayed in the reuse shop. It is full of treasures waiting to be discovered.

“It is a great way to care for the environment at the same time as caring for local adult patients with advanced illnesses or those in need of end of life care, and their families.

“We would love to hear from people who would like to volunteer for St David’s. Help is needed to greet the customers and process the purchases”

The Reuse Shop is open seven days a week, 9.00am until 5.00pm and is open to the general public to browse and purchase items.
