EMERGENCY services were called to a quiet street on Glasgow’s South Side after a double decker bus careered off the road.
The First Bus narrowly avoided going through a front garden on Linthaugh Road in Pollok, around 7.50pm on Wednesday.
Scottish Fire and Rescue Service were called to the scene to help remove the bus, which was blocking two lanes of the road.
An eyewitness said the driver ‘missed’ a turning on the X8 route and attempted to drive over a grass embankment between two one-way roads to correct his mistake.
The resident said: “He asked us to give him a push after he became stuck. What he did was dangerous and in trying to free himself he could have caused serious damage.”
A spokesman for Scottish Fire and Rescue service said: “We were called to the scene to assist with getting the bus uplifted.
“There were no injuries reported.”
