A MAN has made his second appearance in court in connection with an alleged six year campaign of “serious organised crime” which is said to have taken place across the world.

Joseph Lindsay, 34, faces a total of four charges, including an allegation that he and others were “involved in serious organised crime”, between December 2011 and January 2018.

The alleged crimes are said to have been carried out in various addresses in East Kilbride, Chapelhall, Cambuslang and Wishaw.

Some are said to have been carried out in Iceland, Dubai, Amsterdam, Spain, Hong Kong, Mexico and Columbia.

Lindsay, appeared in private at for a full committal at Glasgow Sheriff Court yesterday to face four charges spanning between December 2011 and June 2018.

He made no plea when he was again represented by Graeme Brown, and was remanded in custody by sheriff Mary McCrory.

Papers allege that he, along with others “did agree with each other to do something you knew or suspect or ought reasonably to have known or suspected would enable or further the commission of serious organised crime”.

He faces a charge under the Proceeds of Crime Act including an allegation that he concealed £1.54million, £30,580 and €116,450 of criminal.

Lindsay is also accused of attempting to defeat the ends of justice and being concerned in the supply of drugs.

He will return to court at a later date.
