A MAN has died after being hit by a train near Bellgrove station.
British Transport Police (BTP) raced to the track close to the East End station shortly after 2pm on Saturday, January 19 following reports a person had been hit by a train.
Officers attended the location, alongside colleagues from the Scottish Ambulance Service.
However, a 46-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
His family has been informed.
The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the Procurator Fiscal, said a BTP spokesman.
