YES Bar has donated food to a homelessness charity after a plumbing disaster forced it to shut.

The Drury Street pub will now be shut for at least a week following the incident.

But owner Suzanne McGlaughlin did not want her business's stock to go to waste so she appealed for a charity to take it.

Less than an hour later the Glasgow Street Team - which works with the homeless - had picked up the food.

Suzanne said on Twitter: "Thanks everyone.

"Glasgow Street team are able to use the food.

"Thanks for rt’s and we’re just glad our cloud may be someone’s wee silver lining.

"Especially in this awful cold weather."
