A BUSY Yoker road is to be closed today due to a roadworks extension.
Resurfacing work is currently being carried out in the area which has resulted in the closure of Yoker Mill Road will be closed from Millburn Avenue to the Duntreath Avenue and Alderman Road junction.
Local access will only be provided north of East Barns Street.
While Dornal Avenue will also be closed from Yoker Mill Road to Hawick Street.

Works began on January 16 and were expected to conclude yesterday.
However, the road will remain closed until 4pm today and the roads are expected to be busier than normal.
Diversions are in place as follows:
Northbound traffic – East Barns Street, North Elgin Street, Glasgow Road, Dumbarton Road, Kelso Street and Duntreath Avenue
