THE devastated sister of missing Govan man Tom Graham has told of her family's heartache without him at Christmas.

Sarah Graham said the 30-year-old was missed when his family gathered to celebrate the holiday last year and enjoyed dinner without him for the first time.

The 31-year-old had hoped her brother would be in touch to visit his children, aged seven and four-years-old, but he hasn't been seen or heard from since he vanished from Edinbeg Place in Toryglen.

Appealing for her younger brother to come home, Sarah said: "I haven't seen him since mid-October and he was fine. He just came up to visit.

"It was upsetting without him. We would've been doing everything, having Christmas dinner.

"It's been hard not knowing where he is but we're definitely still hopeful he's alive."

She added: "Somebody out there must know something."

Tom, who has been known to police in the past, has previously gone for periods of time without speaking with family.

However, he always checks in every few weeks leaving his family to fear for his safety.

As previously reported in the Evening Times, Tom frequents the Toryglen and Drumchapel area, where he is known to have friends.

He uses bicycles or public transport to get around the city and, despite being employed as a labourer in the past, he wasn't working at the time of his disappearance.

Chief Inspector Shaheen Baber planed to carry out a stop and speak operation as well as a search for Tom in the spot he was last seen but extreme weather meant it had to be called off.

He said: "The family and friends and ourselves are increasingly concerned and worried about his safety.

"Anyone who knows Tom or may know of his whereabouts, please get in touch."

Tom is described as 6ft in height, of medium build and has several tattoos on his body - including one which reads 'Sophie' on his neck.

While police cannot rule out the possibility Tom may have come to harm, officers confirmed there is no evidence to suggest Tom is not alive.

Police are not currently following any positive lines of enquiry.

Chief Inspector Baber added: "I'm hopeful that Tom is safe and well somewhere and if he's listening anywhere he has to know his family are increasingly concerned about him.

"He's not in any trouble with the police or anyone."
