Police have appealed for witnesses following a road crash that left a young woman dead.
Astrid Yeates, 21, was killed after being struck by a silver coloured car around 7.35am on Friday.
The incident took place on Ayr Road (A77) near Woodvale Avenue at a time when the area would have been busy.

Officers are continuing to appeal for witnesses following the crash.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Sergeant Andrew Mair quoting incident number 0531 of January 18.
