TRAFFIC is busy around Glasgow this rush hour as commuters make their way home for the evening.
The M8 is heavily congested with gridlocks beginning between junction 16 Craighall and junction 19 Anderston as well as junction 25 Cardonald and junction 26 Hillington westbound.

While eastbound junction 25 Cardonald to junction 24 Helen Street and junction 22 Plantation to junction 16 Craighall is also quite busy.
The Elmbank Street closure is affecting bus services throughout the city centre, with First Bus' services 3, 4/4A, 10, 18 and 77 cancelled.

Temporary traffic lights at Berryknowes Road at Cardonald train station near to the A739 roundabout are causing chaos for drivers, with reports of tailbacks to Paisley Road West.
The M77 is also experiencing congestion, while the M8 is slow southbound from plantation to junction one Drumbreck Road.
