URGENT track repairs are causing delays and cancellations between Glasgow Central and Paisley stations tonight.

Network Rail revealed a fault on the track required immediate attention with a team being sent to replace a switch near the city centre station.

Work is expected to begin at 10pm tonight with services between Glasgow Central, Ayrshire, Inverclyde and Paisley Canal cancelled from around 9.30pm.

Services will terminate or begin at Paisley Gilmour Street until end of service tonight.

Replacement buses will be running between Gilmour Street and Glasgow Central from 9pm.

Tickets can be used on the following routes: - First Buses on bus numbers; 3, 9/A, 10 at the following locations: Glasgow, Cardonald, Hillington East, Hillington West, Paisley Gilmour Street, Dumbrek, Corkerhill, Mosspark, Crookston, Hawkhead and Paisley Canal.

- Stagecoach Buses on Ayrshire local services.

- McGills Buses between Glasgow, Paisley, Johnstone and Milliken Park and between Glasgow and Dumbreck.
