A WEATHER warning issued by the Met Office yesterday is still in place.
The warning was issued after heavy snow, rain, sleet and ice hit Glasgow and its surrounding areas yesterday morning.
The national weather service had warned of the above on Monday night and the warning came to an end at noon on Tuesday.
However, Met Office bosses then issued a second yellow “be aware” warning which came into effect from 3pm Tuesday, lasting until 11am on Wednesday (today).

The warning says: “Ice and snow are expected across West and Northwest Scotland on Tuesday evening and overnight into Wednesday.
“Some roads and railways are likely to be affected with longer journey times by road, bus and train services.
“Some injuries from slips and falls on icy surfaces should be expected, and there will probably be some ice on some untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths.”
