A FAULT with the signalling system between Bathgate and Airdrie is causing chaos to journeys between Edinburgh and Glasgow via Bathgate.
The disruption is expected to continue until 1pm.

The following alterations will apply:
- Trains between Edinburgh and Helensburgh Central will be amended to run between Airdrie and Helensburgh Central only
- Trains between Edinburgh and Milngavie will not run

Those travelling between Edinburgh and Glasgow may use their ticket on services via Falkirk or Shotts.
Passengers travelling to and from stations via Bathgate and Airdrie may use their tickets on First Buses on routes 20, 21 and 22.
Buses are currently on their way to Bathgate and Airdrie and, once in place, will run a shuttle services between Edinburgh and Airdrie.
